What is Pop-up?

Pop-up - a term commonly used in web technologies refers to a graphical user interface (GUI) element that appears on top of the current page or window.

A pop-up can contain any content such as advertisements, messages, videos, images and more. It is triggered by certain events such as clicking on links or buttons or when loading a webpage. Pop-ups have been around for decades and they are still widely used today.

The main purpose of pop-ups is to grab users' attention and convey important information or promotional messages. However, due to their intrusive nature, many internet users find them annoying and disruptive to their browsing experience.
