What is Website Bounce Rate?

Website Bounce Rate refers to the percentage of visitors who navigate away from a website after viewing only one page. This metric is commonly used by web developers and digital marketers to track user engagement and site performance.

A high bounce rate can be an indication that a website's content or design may not be engaging enough to keep users interested. However, it is important to note that certain types of websites, such as blogs or news sites, may naturally have higher bounce rates due to the nature of their content.

To calculate bounce rate, divide the number of single-page visits by the total number of visits to your website. For example, if your website had 1000 total visits and 400 single-page visits, your bounce rate would be 40%.
